Suffolk
Suffolk is a quintessential English region. An old rural
county of quaint market towns and gently rolling countryside
that inspired the landscape paintings of the famous eighteenth
century artist John Constable, quiet villages with colour-washed
cottages, wind mills medieval churches, abbeys and broad vistas
of sea and sky.
Explore at a gentle pace, uncovering in turn the countless
treasures such as the royal Anglo-Saxon burial site at Sutton
Hoo. Ipswich is one of the first English towns. The Abbey
of Bury St. Edmunds, where the barons of England first swore
to compel King John to sign Magna Carta.
In medieval times the wealth generated by the wool trade
made the county of Suffolk one of the richest regions of England
and left an astonishing heritage of manor houses and churches
that endures to this day. King Charles II enthusiasm for horse
racing led to Newmarket becoming the centre of the sport and
to the building of a royal palace for his frequent visits.
The Suffolk coastline is magnificent and offers some fine
beaches on the driest and sunniest side of England, notably
at Lowestoft.

Norfolk
Norfolk has a fantastic choice of attractions for visitors
of all ages, from its wonderful stately homes and gardens
to family fun parks.
You can discover the history and heritage of this interesting
county through various new attractions which have been created
recently. They inform the visitor of true original Norfolk
stories of people and their lives, their struggles and successes,
shaped by the county.
There's a fantastic range of summer music events taking
place throughout Norfolk which include outdoor pop concerts
in the forest, live jazz or music at the Manor, not forgetting
the Wymondham and North Norfolk Music Festivals and the Norfolk
Country Music Festival.
Other places of interest include Blickling Hall which was
built in the early 17th century and is one of England’s great
Jacobean houses; Blickling Hall is famed for its spectacular
long gallery, superb plasterwork ceilings, collections of
fine furniture and gorgeous gardens
The Norfolk Broads an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing river
trip and take in the scenery, or you can hire a boat and be
Skipper for a day. The Broads is a fascinating area with a
rich history, reflected in the many wonderful places to visit
and the unique wildlife. There are restored windmills, medieval
churches, beautiful gardens and great places for family visits.
For many people, a great way to explore the Broads is by
water, as much of the history of the Broads revolves around
the way the rivers have been used over the years. The charm
of the Broads rests on the illusion of remoteness you get
when you're on the water. You can be near a village without
knowing that there is anybody or anything for miles around.
